Well, it’s exactly a month of we being using Vivo V5S smartphone and here is a detailed review on the same. With a right tag of being best selfie centric smartphone, this new smartphone comes with the strong features but when it comes to the OS it still needs am improvement. Vivo’s V5 and V5 Plus smartphone comes with the Moonlight Glow feature for which the nearest competitors are only Oppo and Gionee. This smartphone captures some of the best selfie shots and justifies the price of Rs. 18,990.

Design & Performance:
With a neatly looking design, at first this device looks similar to that of Apple iPhone and also the black and gold color options looks very premium and feels upmarket. With fingerprint sensor at the front, this device comes with the bright display with 720p display. While we felt that for this price point, 1080p display could have been given.
With a thickness of 7.55mm, Vivo V5s isn’t the slimmest phone in its price category, while the 154g weight is still manageable and may be on the higher side slightly. Despite having 5.5-inch screen, Vivo V5s never seemed hard to use with just one hand, and we noticed that our thumb was able to reach all four corners. Overall display brightness is comparable to G5 Plus and Redmi Note 4 which costs much lesser.

Camera:
Front facing camera with 20MP sensor is same as that of V5 and its pretty fast in capturing selfies and quality is unmatched in this price segment. Also, you can chat and watch videos simultaneously on single screen. Also, the rear camera of 13MP is pretty much okay and color reproduction is not upto the mark as its having higher noise levels.
Photos which are taken in low light have noise at the corners but are still better than what we get from other phones in the similar price segment which claims to offer an enhanced selfie camera experience. You can always touch up your shots with the Face Beauty Mode 6.0 which is a part of standard camera suite. There’s a group selfie mode that lets you take panoramic shots which is non comparable at this price range all thanks to the wider front lens.

Battery:
With 3000Mah battery, it’s not just a number. On Day 1, battery lasted for around a day and half and as your usage increases, battery manages to stay for all-day long and battery efficiency is promising. Power saving mode is the best feature to save on battery and this phone very well comes with this feature.

Pre-Loaded Stuff:
Vivo V5s comes with tons of preloaded apps which cannot be deleted, the list includes i Manager, i Music, V-Appstore, Vivo Cloud, and i Theme. There are some third-party apps as well including WPS Office, UC Browser, and Amazon as part of standard apps which can be uninstalled.

Verdict:
This smartphone is the best in class smartphone for users who are more selfie obsessed and powerful specs. With an all-day battery performance with WhatsApp, Skype, and some gaming in use, this phone a good buy option. Just in case if you wish to check out the complete specs, then do check out the same.
